Ski touring in the Rauris valley

If you prefer to spend your time off the beaten slopes on the untouched, pristine snow - Rauris is the place to go! Numerous ski tours - some of the most beautiful in the whole country - await you!

The Rauris valley is also a great destination for winter sports off the normal slopes: The legendary Kolm-Saigurn and the picturesque side valleys (Huettwinkltall and Seidlwinkltal) form the perfect setting.

Ski touring and free skiing are gaining popularity. Here, professionals and beginners alike will find their perfect route through the Goldberg group located around the Hocharn (altitude: 3,245 m) and the Sonnblick (altitude: 3,106 m).

Some of the most popular ski touring mountains include the Einoedscharte (2,098 m), the Breitebenkopf (2,236 m), the Ruehrkuebel (2,472 m), the Komkarspitz (2,529 m), the Hocharn (3,254 m) and the Silberpfenning (2,600 m). In addition, the northeast-facing slopes of the Hochalmbahn Ski Resort also offer deep snow next to the groomed slopes.

Our staff at Hotel Alpina would be happy to give you helpful hints and tips for your next ski tour.
